The SA Music Festival is a national music competition and celebration designed to showcase the talents of young South African musicians. Our goal is to provide a high-quality, inclusive platform where participants can perform, learn, and grow in a supportive, adjudicated environment.
How It Works
We welcome soloists and groups, across multiple genres and instruments, with performance options available online.
Entry System
- Entries are submitted online through our official Entry Form.
- Participants can enter as individuals, groups, or through music studios/schools.
- Multiple entries are allowed per participant.
- Fees: R225 for individual entries, R275 for group/more than 1 persons
- After filling in the entry form, confirmation emails with further instructions on how to submit your online video submission or venue and performance dates will be sent.
Performance Rounds
- Performances can take place live at selected venues (not available for 2025) or submitted as pre-recorded videos for online adjudication.
- Participants are grouped by age, instrument, and genre.
- Each performance is evaluated by a professional adjudicator.
Recognition & Awards
- Every participant receives an adjudication report and certificate.
- Top performers may receive Platinum Awards and be invited to the prestige round if applicable.
- Additional sectional awards are available for standout achievements.
